Hank Williams's boyhood home, located in Georgiana, Alabama, is the only surviving childhood residence where he lived before rising to fame in Nashville. Williams lived with his family at 127 Rose Street from 1930 to 1934. During this time, he received his first guitar and met Rufus "Tee-Tot" Payne, who taught him his first chords. In 1992, the city of Georgiana purchased the home and opened the Hank Williams Boyhood Home & Museum. The museum showcases photos, records, and various memorabilia related to the legendary musician.
